Waldorf Schools On The Forefront of Safe Technology in Schools
Schools nationwide are removing the Wi-Fi from classrooms to reduce exposure to radiofrequency radiation. Waldorf schools have been on the forefront. See a full list of schools removing Wi-Fi here.
Below is an interview with City of Lakes teachers on how they removed the Wi-Fi from the classrooms due to health concerns.
Examples of Waldorf Schools Removing the Wi-Fi
The Santa Fe Waldorf in New Mexico: Wi-Fi removed in elementary school classroom. Currently accommodating children with EHS in the elementary school. Has previously accommodated children with MCS, and is currently equipped to do so.
San Diego California USA Waldorf School: Adopted CHPS guidelines wired internet/electronic free zones/and hardwired phones per article published in Renewal Magazine article.
Sacramento California USA Waldorf School: WiFi will be turned off when not in use starting in Fall 2017.

In 2017, The Maryland State Children’s Environmental Health and Protection Advisory Council (CEHPAC) issued a Report advising the Department of Education to recommend local school districts reduce classroom wireless radiation exposures by providing wired—rather than wireless—internet connections.
The New Jersey Education Association published how to “Minimize health risks from electronic devices.” Article, PDF of Recommendations The Santa Clara Medical Bulletin article by Dr. Cindy Russell on Schools and Wireless recommends reducing wireless exposures in the classroom. The Collaborative for High Performing Schools developed Low EMF Criteria/Blueprint For Schools.
Internationally the countries of Israel, France, Cyprus and Belgium have banned/restricted Wi-Fi to protect children’s health. Read about international actions here.
